SAM, aka the Specific Anthropomorphic Mannequin, is a dummy used by the telecommunications industry across the world to test the heating effects of wireless radiation of 5G mobile phones.
The dummy head used to test the safety of cell phones is based on a 100kg man known as Sam. Safety is confirmed if the temperature of the liquid within the plastic head, does not increase by 1 degree celsius during testing. ICNIRP safety guidelines look at safety solely in terms of tissue heating (thermal effects).
The campaign calls on the public to boycott 5G cell phones.
